COCORO Characters Hub
Public bios for the people of Tsukumo, written from official profiles rather than late-game reveals.
This Characters Hub is the spoiler-light roster for Frontwing’s visual novel COCORO. The game is linear and built around one heroine. You will still spend the summer with a full neighborhood: a high-school boy coming home, a humanoid who never left the botanical garden, childhood friends who stayed in the ruins, and an investigation team that treats the Calamity as unfinished work.
The profiles on this wiki paraphrase the official English site, the Japanese Wikipedia summary, and VNDB credits. They stop at public setup. If a detail is not printed on those pages, it is not invented here. Use this hub to learn names, voice actors, and how people already know each other before you open a chapter list.
How to use this hub
Read the cast in story order if you want faces first. Start with Cocoro, the girl humanoid model CCR-01, then Mitsumine Hinata, the unvoiced protagonist who grew up in Tsukumo. From there, the childhood circle is Ryuzaki Kazane and the Amai siblings, Daichi and Kosame. The adult side of the trip is Kizuki Kirika, Hinata’s aunt and the chief of the Special Disaster Investigation Team, plus Murakumo Kotaro from the team’s robot extermination squad.
If you have not installed the game yet, the getting started guide covers language, saves, and what the first hour actually is. COCORO launched on 27 August 2026 (26 August on some Steam storefronts) as a single-player title on Steam, DLsite, and DMM. There is no branching heroine roster and no live-service calendar. Steam lists the story around five hours, which matches why a small cast still has to carry every scene.
The people of Tsukumo
Cocoro is the heroine: a prototype who kept tending plants in an abandoned botanical garden after the Calamity. She looks human, insists she is human, and boasts about a fiancé who will come when the summer snows bloom. At reunion she does not recognize Hinata. Her page is the one to open if you only want the central relationship.
Mitsumine Hinata is the point-of-view student. Trauma from losing his mother left him temporarily unable to speak as a child. His father was mayor; that relationship is strained. After the Calamity, aunt Kirika took him in. He comes back in summer, mature and a little world-weary, and finds his first love still in the garden. He is the only major role without a voice actor.
Ryuzaki Kazane is the same-age childhood friend who stayed. Straightforward, reliable, treated as an older-sister figure. Her grandfather Ryuzaki Raita was a local leader; she inherited that habit of helping people who lost homes. She and Hinata no longer use first names. Something happened. The profile does not guess what.
Amai Daichi and Amai Kosame share a page because the official bios are a sibling story. Daichi is short-tempered and rebellious, also serious, hardworking, and devoted to Kosame. He blames Hinata and the former mayor after a Calamity accident disabled his sister. Their confectionary shop is struggling; he collects scrap metal. Kosame is a middle-schooler in a wheelchair, shy then affectionate, who looks up to Kazane and organizes puppet shows for younger children.
Kizuki Kirika is a robotics researcher dispatched as investigation-team chief. Society distrusts robot scientists after the Calamity. At work she is cool; with her nephew she is gentler; when tired she turns childish. Murakumo Kotaro looks frivolous, is hard to dislike, and draws the troublesome jobs. He befriends Hinata because that is a path toward Kirika.
Voice, art, and what the game actually is
Akio Watanabe designed the cast. The game is fully voiced except for the male protagonist: Hina Youmiya as Cocoro, Hikaru Tono as Kazane, Yasuaki Takumi as Daichi, Riona Imaizumi as Kosame, Maaya Uchida as Kirika, and Shuta Morishima as Kotaro. Japanese is the voiced language; English and both Chinese scripts cover interface and subtitles.
Because the route is linear, you are not picking a girl from a ranking. You are watching one summer in a ruined city and deciding, after the credits, whether the writing earned the promise on the box. The review is the place for that judgment. The walkthrough is for chapter orientation, not for a hidden multi-route flowchart. Endings notes stay spoiler-aware on purpose.
Where to go after the names
New readers should install or demo first, then skim this hub, then play. If you already finished the opening, jump to the character you could not place: the garden girl, the aunt in the investigation office, or the boy collecting scrap. Playtime explains why a five-hour novel still benefits from save-anytime habits. The launch recap pins the 27 August 2026 release, the earlier demo, and what Frontwing confirmed in public. Official storefronts and social accounts live on links.
This roster will not tell you how the Calamity is explained, whether the fiancé rumor is simple or not, or how any credit-roll choice lands. Those answers belong in the novel. The hub’s job is to make Tsukumo readable: seven names, one garden, one summer, and a city that is still picking itself up.
